School Lunch: What's On Your Tray?
October 11-15, 2010

National School Lunch Week (NSLW) is a week-long celebration highlighting the history of school lunch, and the benefits it has provided to the nation's children for more than 60 years. Each year, the National School Nutrition Association prepares promotional kits, marketing materials, and sponsors contests for students in schools throughout the United States. This years theme is "What's On Your Tray?"  The campaign runs from August 2010 to October 2010, culminating in National School Lunch Week, October 11-15, 2010. 
 
Pasco County Schools will feature a special themed menu during this week.  Monday will highlight the creative types; Tuesday will highlight the Strong types; Wednesday will highlight Balanced types; Thursday will highlight Radiant types; and Friday will feature a menu that Chilled types will enjoy!  Check out the special menu by clicking here.
 
SNA has put together a number of useful, fun resources to help you get ready for the "School Lunch: What's On Your Tray?" campaign.  Whether is a literal school lunch tray, or a busy academic and social calendar, what's on a tray says a lot about a student's personality! The highlight of the "School Lunch: What's on Your Tray?' campaign is a personality quiz that will help you and your students to find out how their school lunch profile stacks up and learn what foods are best to fuel you and keep healthy!
 
"What's on Your Tray?" Personality Quiz
The official "What's on Your Tray?" website has a tray full of activities and information for kids including the What's on Your Tray personality quiz where students can discover what their favorite foods and activities reveal about them. Online and in cafeterias, students will have the opportunity to find out about their school lunch personality by taking the fun personality quiz. The online version of the quiz is available at the official kid's website: www.whatsonyourtray.org.
