Who: Medal of Honor recipients

What: School visits and speaking engagements

When: Wednesday, October 23 and Thursday, October 24

Where: Deer Park Elementary, Centennial Middle, Pine View Middle, Land O’ Lakes High, Charles S. Rushe Middle, Paul R. Smith Middle, Hudson High, Wiregrass Ranch High

Why: As part of a year-long collaboration with the Medal of Honor Character curriculum and convention team, eight schools will be honored by hosting Medal of Honor recipients at their schools. The eight schools chosen for the visits were selected because of their commitment to exemplifying the character traits within their school buildings.

How: While in the Tampa Bay area for their annual convention, Medal of Honor recipients will be transported to eight schools in Pasco County. The Medal of Honor recipients will share experiences and stories of bravery with students. A list and timeline of each of the eight visits is included below.
