Event One

Who: Wendell Krinn Technical High School National Technical Honor Society

What: National Technical Honor Society Induction Ceremony

When: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 16

Where: Wendell Krinn Technical High School Media Center, 7650 Orchid Lake Rd., New Port Richey

Why: To recognize and celebrate students who excel in their career and technical education programs with a high GPA and good attendance

How: An induction ceremony will take place for the students and parents in the Wendell Krinn Technical High School media center. Students will receive their certificates and light refreshments will be served.

Event Two

Who: Pasco Hernando State College Basketball Team and Coach Michael Jones

What: Basketball Conditioning Clinic for Special Olympics Athletes

When: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, October 16

Where: Wendell Krinn Technical High School Gymnasium, 7650 Orchid Lake Rd., New Port Richey

Why: To help students become more well-rounded athletes and connect with the community

How: Student athletes will work out alongside PHSC basketball players as they are instructed in various skills to improve their game. The Special Olympians will receive instruction on shooting, movements, and plays that will help them advance to the next level.
