Our Mission

The Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services, has funded this project since 1990. Our mission is to increase the number of qualified, screened, evaluated or nationally certified sign language interpreters and oral transliterators providing services to students who are deaf, hard-of-hearing or deaf-blind in Florida's schools or who may become part of this specialized interpreter workforce in the state's K-12 education system.

The Project is made possible with funding from the Florida Department of Education, Division of Public Schools, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services, using federal funds from IDEA, Part B. The Project will be operated from Pasco County Schools.

The Project provides:

Technical Assistance and Professional Development by request (individual/group)
 Summer Institute – July 15th - July 19th, 2019  Intensive Skill Development
 Online Modules: (CEU worthy)
EIPA - Interpreter Testing
