Title I - Ensuring the Academic Success of the Disadvantaged

Title I, of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, is a federally funded entitlement program that provides supplemental resources to high-poverty schools.  These resources are focused on:

• Promoting high academic achievement for all participating children
• Improving teaching and learning.
• Increasing parent and community involvement

Currently, 27 schools in Pasco County receive Title I funds.  These schools receive Title I funds due to the numbers of students at those schools who receive free or reduced price lunch.
