Young Entrepreneurs Rewarded for Business Proposals

Land O’ Lakes — (April 27, 2017) — Seven students from Pasco County Schools’ business and entrepreneurship principles program showcased their technical creativity Tuesday night during the Pasco’s Young Entrepreneurs Finals, and three of them emerged to take top honors.  See attached photos.

Timothy Hernandez of Zephyrhills High School won first place and $2,500 for his CPRGo mask; Hannah White of Pasco High School received second place and $1,000 for The Organized Design customizable planner; and Jackson Rossi of J. W. Mitchell High School received third place and $500 for the Brij marketing app.

The event, held at Land O’ Lakes High School Academy of Culinary Arts, gave competitors an opportunity to present their unique business idea in a traditional slideshow format to a live audience and panel of judges — startup experts representing Pasco County and the Tampa Bay region.

Also in attendance were representatives from Pasco County Schools, Career Source Pasco/Hernando, the Pasco Education Foundation, the Pasco Economic Development Council, the USF Stavros Center, and Pasco SCORE.
