Woodland Elementary School Invites Parents to Remodeling Project Discussion

Who: Woodland Elementary School parents, students, and staff; district staff, and representatives from Wharton-Smith, Inc. contractors and Furr & Wegman Architects

What: Woodland Elementary School remodeling and addition project parent meeting

When: 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 28

Where: Woodland Elementary School, 38203 Henry Drive in Zephyrhills

Why: Woodland Elementary invites parents to discuss the school’s plan to increase its student capacity from 652 to 900 and upgrade its facilities.

How: The school plans to add an additional building to its campus; convert its old cafeteria into classrooms and a STEM lab; remodel its restrooms to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements; remodel its administration office, including the adjoining conference room, restrooms, and teacher work area; install new school entrance signage; and redesign its parking lot and bus loop.
