We Want to Hear from You!
As the District School Board of Pasco County works to produce a balanced budget, the Superintendent and Board members are seeking feedback from employees, parents and community members. The District is faced with the difficult task of trimming the budget by at least $28 million for the 2010-2011 school year, marking the 9th budget cut the District has faced in the past three years. Board members will be holding a series of budget town hall meetings within their districts to discuss cost-saving measures and gather input from all stakeholders. This feedback will be essential as the Board works to prioritize student and staff needs. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in this important process.
A tentative schedule of town hall meetings is listed below:
, Chairman Allen Altman, May 27, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at Watergrass Elementary School
, Vice-Chairman Joanne Hurley, June 10, 2010, 6:30 p.m. at Land O’ Lakes High School
