School Board to Meet in Closed Session

Land O’ Lakes, FL – (Feb. 15, 2017) – The Pasco County School Board and Superintendent Kurt Browning will meet in a closed session to discuss pending litigation regarding attendance boundaries with School Board attorneys Dennis Alfonso and Carl DiCampli at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, or as soon thereafter as possible.  The meeting will take place in the Office for Teaching and Learning conference room in building 3 of the district office complex, 7227 Land O’ Lakes Blvd., in Land O’ Lakes.

The meeting will be closed to the media and public, in accordance with section 286.011 (8), Florida Statutes, and will be limited to discussions regarding possible settlement negotiations or strategy related to litigation expenditures.

The regularly scheduled school board meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the board room located in the same building.  After the meeting convenes, Attorney Alfonso will announce the closed session and the board meeting will recess while the Board, superintendent and counsel convene the closed session.  The regular board meeting will resume after the attorney-client session adjourns.
