Renowned Speaker to Headline 6th Annual After-School Conference

Who: Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Rob “Waldo” Waldman and approximately 350 afterschool providers from around the state

What: Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Rob “Waldo” Waldman, a Hall of Fame leadership speaker and New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling author, will give the key note speech at this year’s Pasco County Schools PLACE Program 6th Annual After-School Conference: “Soaring to New Heights.”

When: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, April 8

Where: River Ridge High School, 11646 Town Center Road in New Port Richey

Why: Waldman will teach professional leaders how to build trusting, revenue-producing relationships with their employees, partner, and customers. Participants also will join an array of after-school providers during a full day of comprehensive professional development opportunities, food and door prizes.

How: Waldman will share his experiences as a decorated F-16 fighter pilot and businessman. During his service, Waldman received countless honors and flew 65 real-world combat missions. He is a Certified Speaking Professional, and his clients include Hewlett Packard, Verizon, Johnson & Johnson, and the Denver Broncos. Guests will have the opportunity to select from more than 30 development workshops for administration professionals, site-based management, and frontline direct care providers. They also will be able to view the latest in after-school resources, meet vendors, gain enhanced knowledge of school age childcare through the network of peers and colleagues in attendance, and earn training certificates.
