Why: Part of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme is to encourage giving back to the community, and to learn from and reflect on those experiences.

How: As one part of the school’s First Annual Week of Service, PVMS students will host a car wash for first responders, and make tug toys and collect treats for the animals at Pasco County Animal Services. To do this, the school is collecting the following donations:

  • Clean, old towels and T-shirts (to make the tug toys)
  • Pup-Peroni and/or Milk-Bone dog treats
  • Temptations cat treats
  • Carwash soap, such as Turtle Wax and Rain-X (not dish soap because it can destroy an automobile’s protective wax)
  • Sponges
  • Scrub brushes
