Pasco Schools Hosts Project Turnaround Awards Ceremony

The District School Board of Pasco County is pleased to announce that this year’s Annual Turnaround Award Ceremony will be held on May 2, 2012, from 10:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Spartan Manor in New Port Richey, FL.  The students and staff at Project Turnaround have worked hard to earn this well-deserved recognition.

We invite the press and public to join us as we celebrate their inspirational stories of transformation.  In addition to honoring the students, we will be recognizing the hard work of the dedicated staff and family members who have helped place these students on a productive path.

The Annual Turn-Around event is part of the District’s comprehensive graduation enhancement program.  Through anindividualized approach, the District has a rich tradition of ensuring that all students receive the support they need to graduate from high school prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.  This event is just one of the many ways that we celebrate the success of students and promote personal growth.  This effort is reflected in the District’s impressive graduation rate of 85.8%, which is well above the state average.  The District will continue to facilitate the type of positive transformation that will be highlighted at the Turnaround event through concentrated efforts.
