Who: Pasco County Schools teacher-artists, student-artists, and their community
What: Pasco County Schools Inaugural “MyArt” teacher art show
When: Thursday, May 4 to Saturday, May 20 — closing reception 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel, 30651 Wells Road in Wesley Chapel
Why: The goal of the art show is to showcase the talents of Pasco County Schools teacher-artists, and strengthen their credibility as educators by showing students and the public that they practice what they teach.
How: Pasco Schools teacher-artists from grades K-12 will exhibit a diverse array of 2-D and 3-D artwork that embodies their creativity and craftsmanship. In addition to exhibiting their talents, the teacher-artists will aim to inspire student-artists to become just as passionate about their own work. Students and the community also will have an opportunity to interact with the teacher-artists and ask them questions during the closing reception.
