Holiday Angels to Bring Home-Made Gifts to Hudson Elementary Students

Who: Angels in the Pines, Toy Makers, and Hudson Elementary School students

What: Holiday gift delivery

When: 8:50 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., Friday, Dec. 8

Where: Hudson Elementary School
             7229 Hudson Ave., Hudson

Why: The two Heritage Pines retirement community groups make hats, scarves, and wooden toys for the needy students whose families may not be able to afford such things, and deliver them every year during the holiday season.  The retirees also deliver gifts to other schools in the Hudson and Shady Hills areas.

How: Every class at the school will file through the media center at their designated time.  Students will choose their toys and scarves, and then the class will sit together and open their gifts at the same time.  More than 83 percent of Hudson Elementary students are considered low income.
