Fivay High School Dedication, September 28, 2010

The District School Board of Pasco County is pleased to announce the upcoming dedication of Fivay High School.  The event will be held on September 28, 2010, at 9:20 a.m. in the school’s courtyard.

Fivay High School is the fifteenth high school to serve the students of Pasco County (including education centers).  The school was built to accommodate 1910 students, and has opened with a freshman, sophomore and junior class.  To date, 1,297 students attend Fivay.   Home of the Falcons, Fivay will offer a variety of challenging and diverse academic opportunities for all students.

Fivay High School supports the District’s vision of creating a community that works together so all students reach their highest potential.   Staffed with a team of dedicated professionals eager to work with students and their families to build a solid foundation for success, the school is off to a great start.

The staff and students of Fivay High are already beginning exciting traditions and establishing a legacy of excellence at one of our newest schools,” said Superintendent Fiorentino.  “The dedication ceremony is a perfect opportunity for community members to celebrate our efforts to ease overcrowding in schools, meet the staff and students and to become an active partner with our newest high school,” she added.

This dedication promises to be a memorable occasion. Special presentations will include performances by the school band and a ribbon cutting ceremony sponsored by the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce. The public is invited to attend this special dedication ceremony.  For further information about this event, please contact Fivay High School at 727-246-4000.
