2009-2010 Creative Teaching Grants Now Available

The Pasco Education Foundation on-line application process for classroom grants is now available. Instructional employees of the school board are invited to apply for a grant by visiting the Foundation's grant application page. The deadline for applying is October 18, 2009. This year the Foundation will award a minimum of $40,000 in classroom grants. The maximum grant award is $300 per teacher. All applications must be submitted on-line. Creative Teaching Grants are made possible by the support of individuals that purchase the Support Education (apple plate) specialty license tag, the Suncoast for Kids Foundation made possible by the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, the St. Petersburg Times, Bank of America, and Verizon. Since its inception in 1991, the Pasco Education Foundation, Inc. has seen its assets grow to more than $3,000,000. This support allows the organization to award hundreds of scholarships to students and teachers annually, including awarding and administering the Take Stock in Children program for more than 165 students in Pasco County. Each year, teachers and administrators benefit from the Foundation’s classroom grants. These grants provide needed supplies and curriculum support. The Pasco Education Foundation also recognizes and celebrates the county’s top students and public school employees through numerous events and ceremonies throughout the year.
